Week-end Golf Results N. Wilson and J. Gianvilit*, with (;vo up. won the I'our-ball-bcst-ball competition played by members of the Whanpaivi Golf Club during the week-end. Other good cards were: A. G. Sheen and M. ,1. Lynch. 4 up; E. W. Thomson and L. Feist. 4 up; J. Morton and G. Birnie, 8 up. G. Watson and L. Bennett. 2 up. Ladies’ Competition In the four-ball-best-ball competition in the Whangarei Ladies’ Golf Club during the week-end. Miss Steele and Miss Rishworth and Mrs Sheen and Mrs Lynch ended with one up. but on a count back Miss Steele and and Miss Rishworth won. Other good cards were: Miss Stevens and Mrs Glanville. one down: Mrs Morton and Miss Stewart, two down; Mrs Robertson and Miss Knowles, three down; Mrs Long and Miss Radcliffe, four down. Duff Cup Contest The result of the Duff Cup match played at the week-end by members of the Whau Valley Club was a win for R. Bundle, whose net score for 54holes was 229. M. Kokich was run-ner-up with 234, and J. Curtis next with 242. Next Saturday the qualifying rounds for the senior and junior championships will be played. Players are to select-own partners.
