Fat Cattle Easier At Stortford Lodge

The market in general was very quiet, the reason being a further large entry crf cattle before a small bench of buyers. The ! yarding consisted of 280 head, comprising station-bred and Jersey sorts. A pep of Aberdeen Angus-cross bullocks topped the market at £74. These. ■ were a particularly fine line. and j i were prime-finished, i Other quotations were: Cows 1 (Hereford). £8 12/6 to £9 3/; heif- . ers, £7 to £8 17/6; ox beef, £lO 10/ to £l4; cow beef, £5 1/ to £9 3/. s A big yarding of store sheep and , breeding ewes met a rising market, . woolly hoggets being 2/ a head better 3 than last week.
