Benefit Ball; No Competition Results Today
the whole of H.Q.’s attention focussed on the Bargain Stores’ Benefit Ball yesterday, time did not permit the judging of last fortnight’s competition, for which entries were particularly heavy. Results that should have been announced to-day will be given in “Young Northlander” of Tuesday next. Incidentally, the ball was a tremendous success, despite the stormy night, and although all ticket returns have not yet been made, it Is very likely that our Orphanage building fund will benefit to the extent of £IOO as a result of the effort.
