Marsden Centenary Celebrated At Sydney
(Received 1 p.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. An outstanding personality at the centenary commemoration of the death of the Rev. Samuel Marsden at the Sydney Town Hall last night, under the auspices of the Church Missionary Society, was the Maori Bishop, the Rev. F. A. Bennett, Bishop of Aotearoa, who read a special message from the Maori section of the church, and praised Marsden’s work among the Maoris. Added interest to the gathering was the presence of a Maori choir.
