Giles, j was disqualified for two years, as from j April Hi, 1938, at a special meeting of j of Die Now Zealand Cycling Associa- ! lion, hold in Wellington last night, j The secretary of the association. Mr C. V, Aldridge, said that Giles was j being disqualified for breaking .he bond he entered irdo with Ihe Olympic Association when lie was selected for the Olympie (James held in Berlin m 193(1 The bund provided that lie would not turn professional for two years after his return to New Zealand 1 “Win rt Gilt:; broke his bond by comt poling as a professional ar O.orobiuiga ! on April IC. 1938.” added Mr Aldridge, ! “he was fully aware of what he was i doing. For thin reason he has been disqualified.”
