Hikurangi’s Good Response
Although only a portion of the Hikurangi Dairy Company’s district has been canvassed, about 70 per cent, of the requisite number of signatures have been obtained already. To comply with the Government's stipulations. it will bo necessary for the company to have the consent of 433 suppliers, of whom nearly 300 agreed since the company’s annual meeting on Thursday of last week. The directorate of the company ir confident that the necessary number of signatures will be obtained within the next week .and it has set down August I as the date for commencing the scheme. In those areas already canvassed the response has been practically unanimous.
