Search For Missing Indian
[Special To “Northern Advocate ”J HAMILTON, This Day.
The search for the body of the missinf; Indian, Dalu Desai, aged 42 years, is now in its lentil week, and the police party is divided between dragging Lake Taharoa and combing the sandhills. Two motor-boats, manned by seven men. are covering the lake, and the remainder of the party of 26 are devoting their attention to the sandhills.
It is understood that When Bhagvanji Desai, Dalu's fellow countryman, returned to the store yesterday, after an absence of six weeks, he found that the building had been broken into and certain goods stolen. After he had inspected the premises, he left Taharoa last night.
