(Received 2.30 p.m.) LONDON, July 15. The Gentlemen v. Players match Was concluded today. The Gentlemen winning by 135 runs. The Gentlemen declared their second innings closed when eight wickets had fallen for 172 runs, of which Yardley made 34. Smith took 5 wickets for 68, and Smailes 2 for 33. The Players’ second innings closed for 232 (Compton 45, Edrich 78). K. Fames took 3 wickets for 60; Stephenson took 3 for 63; and Brown 3 for 75.
