Hon. Ernest Brown, Minister of Labour in the British Cabinet, who was stated to have made an important statement regarding the immediate effect of the new legislation providing holidays with pay to workers in Britain. Mr Brown has filled many roles in the course of his private and political career. Born in 1881, at Torquay, he became a member of Parliament in 1922. He held a number of Un-der-Secretaryships, and became Minister of Labour in 1935. He fought with the Somerset Light Infantry during the Great War.
