Britain’s Supplementary Estimates
(Received 8.30 a.m.l LONDON, July 15. The Supplementary Civil Estimates issued by the Chancellor of the Exchequer. Sir John Simon, provides for an expenditure of £9.015,000. of which £8,500,000 is for purchases of wheal, sugar and whale oil. which have already boon made, and also for further purchases of foodstuffs teamst an emergency. The sum of £150.000 has boon set aside for the bacon industiy. The bulk of the balance, is bung devoted to milk marketing, the British share of the cost of v, Uhdrawim; volunteers from Spain and the relief of child refugees.
