One Tree Point W.D.F.U.
The July meeting of the One Tree Point branch of the W.D.F.U. held at Mrs Pratt's residence was well attended. The dance receipts and balance sheet were discussed, these showing a credit. It was agreed to send part to the orphanage fund and put the remainder in the local benefits fund. The melon jelly competition was won by Mrs Tebbutt with Mrs McGrath second, while for buttonhole making Mrs McKenzie secured first place and Mrs Carr second. A demonstration of reed loom basket paaking was given by Mrs Pyle. Mrs Crompton kindly offered her home for the next meeting. Tire meeting' closed wjth a vote of thanks to Mrs Pratt.
