Tidal Waves Sweep Lake Beaches
(Received 10 a.in.l NEW YORK. July 14. At least five persons were drowned, and an undetermined number were injured, at Holland. Michigan, when a series of huge waves, described as being from eight to ten I'oct high, swept in over the beaches from Lake Michigan Terrified people on (ho beaches screamed and ran. Several fishermen were swept from the piers, and coastguards rescued them. The dead included two women.
