Interviewed by the “Paris Soir,” Dr. Alexis Carrell, with whom Colonel Charles Lindbergh has been collaborating in the invention of an artificial heart, appeals to the public to respect Colonel Lindbergh’s privacy on Illiec Island, which the airman purchased recently, as “he has become hypersensitive and needs quietude and forgetfulness.” Dr. Carrell ridiculed reports that Colonel Lindbergh had bodyguards, and also denied that he contemplated politics or offering himself as candidate for the United States Presidency.
