Echo of Privileges Sensation
(Received 2.30 p.m.) LONDON, July 14. A sensation was caused in the House of Commons when Lieutenant-Colonel Heneage supported Mr Winston Churchill and asked the Speaker’s advice in view of information in their possession which was inconsistent with the information on which the committee on privileges founded its report. Mr Churchill, speaking as a member of the committee, said ho was of the opinion that the decision was taken on misleading presentations of facts. The censure appeared to have fallen on innocent persons. The Speaker, Captain Fitzroy, said the matter was without precedent. Ho promised to give a ruling on Monday. It is understood that the basis of the sensation is an allegation that the military court was not responsible foxsubpoena to Mr D. Sandys, who was summoned to*appear before the court in regard to a question on anti-aircraft guns, which was alleged to be a breach of the Official Secrets Act,
