Snow In Canterbury
[Per Press Association. Copyright! CHRISTCHURCH, This Day Serious flooding on the main road near Little River is the most serious aftermath of the bitterly sold southerly storm which swept the province from Saturday night until early this morning.
Water is over 2ft Gin deep on the road, and in the township itself the flooding has recejed, after being nearly a foot deep at midnight last night. Heavy snow is reported from the back country, two feet being recorded at Porter’s Pass, and snow is covering the foothills at Springfield.
