Effects of Health Scheme
“If the new health scheme proposed by the Government, giving free hospital treatment to rich and poor alike, is put into effect, it will inevitably call for further heavy capital expenditure in the very near future in providing accommodation for the increased numbers who will seek hospital treatment when such treatment is made free,” declared the chairman of the Whangarei Hospital Board, Mr J. A. S. Mac Kay, at the board’s annual meeting today.
