End of Chequered Career
SYDNEY, June 12. The death occurred yesterday, as a result of a car accident, of an Italian woman, Eugene Falleni, aged 63, who for 20 years masqueraded as a man, and in 1920 was sentenced to death for the murder of a woman she had “married.” Her case created wide interest at the time. The sentence was commuted, and the woman was released from prison six years ago.
