Regrettable Hooliganism

Repudiatory professions, however will not carry «n*eat weight, for it may he taken for granted that only opponents of the Nationalist Party were responsible for the booing and interruption. It is only a few nights since Mr J. A. Lee spoke at the Town Hall on behalf of the Labour Party, and it is noteworthy that, despite provocative allusions to the National Party, a considerable number of whose supporters must have been in the audience, there was not a semblance of interruption. Saturday night’s hooliganism, especially in view of the absence of provocation, stands out in marked contrast. We feel that a democratically mindedeomnumity will place its own construction upon disgraceful tactics.
