Golf
The annual meeting of the Waipu Golf Club was held on Monday evening. Mr A. Brocks presided over a very satisfactory gathering. The annual report and balance sheet was read by the secretary, Miss B. McGregor. This showed the club’s affairs financially to be in a very promising state. The election of officers for the coming season resulted: —President, Mr A. J. Brooks; vice-presidents, Mr J. R. McKay and Mrs Kay; captains, Mr D. N. McKay and Mrs K. McAulay; vicec a plain, Mr J. M. McKay; links superintendent, Mr D. R. McKay; secretary, Mr D. N. McKay; auditor, Mr D. H. McKay; committee, Mr D. McCathie, Mr D. F. McLean and Mrs Brooks. Opening day was fixed for Saturday, April 23.
