Broadbent To Fly Back To England
:(Received 1.30 p,m.) SYDNEY, This Day. The Australian airman, Mr H. F. Broadbent, proposes to fly from Darwin to England in an attempt to eclipse Miss Jean Batten’s solo flight record of five days 18 hours. Mr Broadbent will leave at the week-end for Flores Island to recover his plane, and will then return to Darwin to prepare for' his England flight.
