National Party At Hukerenui
A meeting of electors was held in the Hukerenui hall last night'for the purpose of forming a branch of the New Zealand National Party. The attendance was small, only 12 settlers being present. Messrs A. L. Free, organiser for the National Party in Marsden, Mr P, R. Gardner, organiser for the Bay of Islands electorate, and Mr H. W. Crawford, chairman of the Marsden Electorate Committee, addressed the meeting. The aims and objects of the National Party were fully explained and various political questions were dealt with. A resolution was passed inviting the Whakapara branch to extend its boundaries in order that supporters of the National Party in Hukerenui and surrounding districts may join it instead of forming a separate branch at Hukerenui,
