A constable, hearing the report, rushed to the scene, and shortly v afterwards detectives had arrived, i, , ] ..Glass in many windows had been J ; completely shattered by the explos- /; ion, the cause of which is not known, i i Practically the only damage was to the windows, and none of the strong- ; ! rooms had been tampered with. There was no sign of any intruder having ■ - been in the various offices. In the boilerhouse everything was r. in perfect order, and all the electrical equipment had been switched off at the meters.
