Concrete Footpath Programme
The works committee of the Whangarei Borough Council has recommended that an amount of £I2OO be allocated for concreting footpaths during the year 1938-39. The committee has also recommendj ed that, with a view to the compiling of a schedule of work in this connection, the council inspect the streets of the borough. In the meantime, in order to provide a continuity of work for the con-' Crete gang, the following streets will be prepared and concreted; Otaika Road, left side, over the bridge. 24 chains, approximately; Morningside Road, slab, south side, 24 chains, ap- , proximately; Hunt Street, north side, three chains, approximately. The inspection of the streets will be made on Thursday next.
