Trout Fishermen’s Boom Collapses

The change in weather conditions which occurred during the week-end appears, temporarily at any rate, to have ended the “boom” which fishermen have been enjoying for over a month at the mouths of Waitete, Hainurana and Awahou streams, where large congregations of trout have been caused by the marked difference between the cold spring-fed water of the stream and the warm temperatures of the lake.
