Anglican Clergy Holidaying In North
Many distinguished members of the Anglican Clergy are holidaying in the Bay of Islands. Archbishop Averill and family are at their Paihia residence.
On January 2 the Archbishop rededicated the historic Russell Church. His son, the Rev. W. W. Averill, Vicar of All Saints. Ponsonby, and family are at Wahapu. The morning service at the Williams Memorial Church. Paihia, was conducted yesterday by Bishop WestWatson, of Christchurch, Dean Cruickshank, of Dunedin, and previously Vicar of Whangarei, accompanied by Mrs. Cruickshank. are visiting Russell for the month of January. The Rev. R. J. Stanton, of O.tahuhu, is also at Russell for 10 days, with a troop of Otahuhu Scouts.
