Chinese “Reds” Call Co-operation Congress
(Received 10 a.m.) HANKOW, January 8. The Chinese Communist Party has convoked a congress with the object of strengthening its co-operation y/ith the Kuomintang, including the mobilisation of labour and more active participation in the war. Three hundred student-soldiers from Kwangsi have arrived, half of whom are women of the first unit of Amazons trained for fighting and equipped with rifles, light machine-guns, and automatic rifles. They will * go to Suchow shortly.
