RETIRES. Mr Edward N. Pascoc, postmaster at Te Awamutu since April, 1931, retires on superannuation today, the 40th anniversary of his joining the Post and Telegraph Service as a message boy at Napier. After three years there, Mr Pascoc wont to Wellington from where ho was transferred to Te Kopuru (Northern Wairoa). BABY BONUS. aged eight, who was drowned on Tuesday while bathing at the Waiotahi Beach, was found opposite the Waiotahi Bluff, about a mile further along the beach, early this morning. An inquest was held before the district coroner, Mr F. J. Short. Sergeant J. Isbister represented the police. The coroner’s finding was that deceased met his death by accidental drowning.
