GIRL ATTACKED BY UNKNOWN MAN
[Per Press Association. Copyright.! WELLINGTON, This Day. Many residents near the Kelburn Viaduct were awakened about midnight by screams and cries for help. A young woman was walking alone in the vicinity when an unknown man approached her and hit her on the head with a blunt weapon. Fortunately, she did not lose consciousness but called for help, upon which her attacker quickly vanished. The occupants of a nearby house assisted the young woman inside and procured attention for her. Police are investigating but no arrests have yet been made.
