Mrs Cullen Finlayson. of ■ VVhangaroi, is staying at Narrow Neck Dovonport, with her mother, Mrs S, Lewis, of Cambridge.
Mr F. Lye, of Pukekura, has announced that he intends to inform the National Party that he is prepared to contest the Waikato seat as the party’s candidate at the general election in November. Mr Lye was member for Waikato between 1922 and 1925, and after being defeated he was elected in 1928, He served until the 1985 election, being then defeated by the present member, Mr R. Coulter.
