MORE £56-10/- BANK NOTE CONTUSION
[Special To “Northern Advocate”! AUCKLAND, This Day. Further instances of the confusion resulting from the similarity between Reserve Bank notes of £SO and 10/denominations have been reported from Taupo. On two occasions in one day, £SO notes were handed out from a se>vice station till instead of 10/ notes, and only one had been recovered yesterday. In banks and large commercial houses, cashiers have been warned to guard against similar losses, although bankers state that errors are by no means uncommon among the general public. Some 12 months ago representations were made to the Governor of the Roserve Bank, Mr Leslie Lefaux, in an endeavour to change the, colour and shape of the £SO note, but no resulted.
