BUTTER'S RECOVERY, The butler market in London has recovered the slight, decline reported on Tuesday, and prices for Now Zealand are now back to last week’s level, on a basis of 112/ per cwt. for choicest salted. Danish is down 6/ over the week, but Australian has improved, with salted quoted from 109/ to 110/, and 1/ higher. New Zealand nnsaltod is selling from 110' to 114 .
TO RETIRE. The Very Rev. Father John W. Dowling, rector of Silverstream College, will shortly retire. His successor wilf be the Very Rev. Father John Kennedy, who for the past two years has been rector of the Marist Fathers’ Novitiate at Hishoen. Palmerston North.
