The following stations are at present under construction and should be located by members at an early date; XEPB, Mexico; 4BR, Brisbane; and stations in Hobart. Perth, Canberra and Dalby. New Year’s Eve in U.S.

On New Year's Night in Whangarei one club member enjoyed listening to the New Year festivities in America. Station WBT. North Carolina, operating on 1030 kc., could be heard quite well from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. At least 17 stations in U.S.A. could be heard on New Year programmes. An unusual verification has been received by a Northland D.X. Club member, the station verified being CFCT. British Columbia, whose power is only 50 watts. The receiving set was a seven-valve broadcast receiver.

When the power of the British Columbian station is compared with station IYA Auckland’s 10,000 watts, the contacting of a 50-watt power station from such a distance is a most unusual uhenomerron.
