Widening Split Between Army And Navy

The Shanghai correspondent of the “Daily Telegraph” saysAhat prominent Tokio business and professional men admit there is a growing divergence between the Japanese Government and the Army regarding China. Another message from Shanghai states that the commander of the United States gunboat Oahu has wirelessed that the tanker Meian, which was beached on December 13, to prevent her sinking, was mysteriously burned and became a total loss.
