More Fatalities These Holidays
'Special To “Nortnern Advocate AUCKLAND, This Day. There was a total of 22 deaths reported over the Christmas and New Year holidays. Road fatalities notified numbered 12 this year, whereas a year ago there were four. On the other hand, there was a decrease in the number of persons injured in road accidents and taken to hospitals, from 57 in the 1936-37 period to 48 in the recent holidays. l Drownlngs in the sea, rivers and lakes number 10, as against five a year ago.
