There was a young lady of Mair, Whose looks provoked many a stare; Her brimmed hat had no crown. ■
And her brooch not much gown, But she said, “I’m just taking free air,”
Psychic Paddy who came from Kaiwarra, Was familiar with “spirits” of horror; Chummed with fairies and ghosties, And with banshees on “posties,” But a HORSE with NO LEGS! NO, BEGORRAH!
Our fair town in the Northland that pleases, We never see snow, but it freezes. We may not be wealthy, But we ought to be healthe. For both indoors and out, we have breezes! —D.E.T.
