British railways have adopted 'a scheme by which the public can give railway travel as a Christmas present to relatives or friends. Persons inviting friends for Christmas or New Year can enclose with the invitation special railway tickets for the journey issued by the companies. Alternatively, tickets may be inserted In slots provided in a special greeting card which the companies are producing.
