CLUB AFFAIRS

How arc the Scrap Bocks going? Sweet Pea Club and Calf Club scrap book competitions both close on December 7. There are sections for personal entries and for school scrap books. Indications are for a fairly dry summer this year, so it will be as well to take precautions so our preparations for 1940 will not be in vain. Holes 18 inches deep, 18 inches wide and 18 Inches long should he dug in Die ground, and filled to a depth of 12 inches with sand and bush mould as recommended in previous articles. After seeds have been sown, lit is a good plan to put a, bushy teatree twig at each corner, slanted so they will completely" shade the bed. This will give an ideal, protection against the hot sun.
