Ward When placed in the hands of the Guardian Trust, this property was carrying 2050 Ewes, 1750 Hoggets and 320 Cattle. The Company's special Farm Supervisor was immediately put in charge, and by the adoption of scientific methods and pasture improvement, was able to increase the farm’s carrying capacity to 4750 Ewes, 1100 Hoggets, and 330 Cattle; in addition to which there was a yield of 2,000 fat Lambs for the last year, in addition to store sheep. The following is an extract from a Broker’s Report on a clip of 149 Bales from the same property sold during the 1935/37 sale. “The wool was of good condition, well grown, sound in staple and of good length. The clip was very well skirted and each line was very even in quality. The clip altogether, was excellently got up and from the way in which it was prepared each line met with excellent competition.
