(Received 11 a.m.) TOKIO, May 2. Elections for the, Diet were quiet, voters being apathetic. The general feeling is that the appeal to the country is artificial. Early figures suggest' an unaltered position. The anti-Government' Liberal, Minseito, Agrarian, and Feiyukai Parties have maintained their dominating position with 80 per cent of the seats. The chief . change is that the Socialists have doubled their strength with 40 seats.
