“Peoples Of All Nations Would Denounce War”
—Mr Jordan
(Received 10 a.m.) LONDON. March 23. The New Zealand High Commissioner, Mr. W. J. Jordan, in addressing the Shoreham branch of the League of Nations Union to-day, said: “If we could obtain the opinions of the peoples of all the nations, instead of those of the Governments, wc should have a wholehearted denunciation of war. The League is not interested so much in flags or Governments as in the welfare of the peoples, with their desire for progress and hatred of war.”
