Crew Of Sinking Freighter Rescued
1 ——• (Received 10 a.m.) NEW YORK, March 23. The crew of the coastguard cutter Celhan rescued 17 men from thg Norwegian freighter Bjerkli, which was sinking 760 statute miles east of New York. Six vessels had battled against a storm for 18 hours, owing to inaccurate position and distress signals sent out by an amateur wireless operator.
