Another Big Catch At Tutukaka
En route from Whangaroa fishing grounds to try his luck at Tutukaka yesterday afternoon, Mr Stan Ellis, of Hamilton, landed a 3301 b. swordfish. The fish took the bait about two miles off Tutukaka Heads, and Mr Ellis, after a two hours’ fight, brought it aboard the Reelemin just as dusk was falling. Mr Ellis, with Mr Watson, of Suva, was the first to explore the new grounds at Tutukaka, two years ago. Ke intends to make his headquarters there, commencing fishing next Saturday.
