German Plans To Increase Farm Production
(Received 3 p.m.) / BERLIN, March 23. i Elaborate plans to increase farm production were announced by General Goering, in a broadcast to Which farmers throughout Germany listened. He said that, henceforth, he would treat desertion of. land as evasion of responsibility. New measures are for the benefit of the nation and not the individual. Chief provisions of the plans are:— (1) Supercession of incompetent farmers by State-appointed managers. (2) Reduction of the price of fertilisers. (3) A sum of £16,000,000 to be de- j voted to farm improvements. ,
