Transport Authorities To Control Trucks On P.W. Jobs

This Day. j All trucks used on Public Works j jobs, -with the exception of those j owned by the department, will in j future come under the control of the Transport Licensing Authorities, according to a statement made this j morning by Mr. E. J. Phelan, chairJ man of No. 1 Transport Authority, j The department will arrange no j contracts unless the contractor has j his license. Considerable dissatisfaction was caused in the past on this score.
