Two Men Fined At Maungaturoto
A fine of £1 and an order to make restitution was the penalty imposed on Arthur Wesley Hooker, of Ru&kaka, when he appeared before Mr. G. N. Morris, S.M., in the Maungaturoto Police Court this; morning, charged with the theft of a kauri log at Waipu, the property of J. McLean, of Waipu, on January 27. Francis Joseph Russell, an insurance clerk, of Whangarei, was charged with negligently driving a motor car at Waipu on March 7. He was fined £1 and costs 10/-.
