PLUNKET SHIELD CRICKET
[Per Press Association. CopyrightJ CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. Incessant heavy rain made play impossible in the Plunket Shield match between Canterbury and Wellington yesterday. Canterbury therefore won on the first innings. Both matches played at Christchurch this summer have been interfered with by rain. In the first, rain gave Canterbury a lucky first innings win over Auckland, and in the second Canterbury was deprived of a chance of forcing an outright win against Wellington.
