They Say -
That the appearance of Bill Beehre on the green on Sunday was as pleasing to members as the bright sunshine. That Harry Westwell will again be hard in the singles. That the Whangarei Club will endeavour to win the Dr Campbell Cup this year. Thai if Kaikohe went tourney trotting they would make their presence felt. That Kensington’s ‘Mae’ is playing steady bowls. That Emmy Dennis will make a player. That there are still unmarked bowls about. That the Centre should see that trophies are of the value advertised. Kensington set a good example in this matter a season or two back. That Billy' Williams is back to his old form.
That Alex Sentch will be at the tournaments this season.
That the Hikurangi green will be filled next Saturday.
That halfday tourneys have come to stay and will stifle club fixtures.
