GERMAN CRITICISES CONDITIONS IN BRITAIN

LONDON, November 30.
The Berlin correspondent of “The Times” says that, with a view to contrasting the benefits of Nazi rule with the distress in other countries, a German news agency sent a correspondent to follow King Edward’s tour of South Wales.
The correspondent, after a lengthy survey of the miseries of the people, says: “It will always remain a mystery that some parts of the richest country in the world should contain conditions unworthy of a civilised nation. Britain possesses money, raw materials, colonies and mandates, which are capable of further development, and could absorb all her unemployed willing to work. Moreover, Britain enjoys the co-operation of the Dominions, yet has difficulty in solving the problems of distressed areas.”
