CLYDE SHIPBUILDING INDUSTRY

The Clyde shipbuilding m'lusiry is experiencing the best year since 1930. With a month still to run, 1936 has already exceeded the tonnage output of any year since the boom period of 1927-30. Ninety-two vessels, of an aggregate of 283,622 tons, have been launched. During November eight ships of 38,640 tons were water-borne. The 300,000ton mark will easily be exceeded this year.
