INADEQUATE RADIO COVERAGE IN N.Z.
[Per Press Association. Copyright .] WELLINGTON, This Day.
The necessity for a more efflfcient coverage in New Zealand is emphasised in a report of two experts, who were asked by the Government to pay a visit of inspection to the B broadcasting stations. This was revealed yesterday by the Prime Minister, Mr Savage, who has just read their report.
Mr Savage said that he had not yet had time to go into the report in detail, but he had noted that the committee stated that radio coverage in the Dominion was inadequate. That position would have to be improved, he said, as the broadcasting service was for all the people, not for some of them.
